A Technical Seminar on “Video Surveillance: An IP Perspective” and press meet was conducted in Bangalore on 11th Jun, 2008 and in New Delhi on 13th June, 2008 on the occasion of the launch of India operations of China Security & Surveillance Technology Inc (NASDAQ: CSST). CSST is one of the largest electronic security companies of China and a leader in Homeland Security. It is also a group of the leading security OEMs in the world including – MinKing, HTS, RaySharp, Chenobo, LongHorn and DTS.
The seminar brought together a wide cross section of people – end users, technical people and designers – who are people who influence selection of technology. The emphasis was on the rise of IP based surveillance systems, their impact on cost and deployment issues of large scale “safe city” and Homeland Security applications. The seminar was from 10:30AM till 1PM which was followed by lunch.
The second part of the program comprised a walk-in demo of the CSST equipments to all and sundry interested parties. Parallel to this was a personal one-to-one interaction of the keynote speakers and the CSST top brass – including some key CSST constituents lead by Alex Kuo, VP – International Business of CSST. The last part of the program commenced from 7PM onwards – which included a press conference followed by drinks/dinner.
